Pseudomonas. 

  • Gram-negative aerobic bacilli. 

  • Common in any moist environment (including hospital sinks) and may colonise detergent or disinfectant solutions. 

  • Frequently colonises chronic leg ulcers. 

  • Typically resistant to many antibiotics and some strains are resistant to most available agents.

  • Main pathogen is P. aeruginosa.
